User Security Features
The choices are simple, clear and easy for you to make – for example - Martha can add and edit invoices, however she:
• Cannot Edit completed invoices
• Cannot Sell below cost
• Cannot Edit previous days invoices
• Cannot Edit the bottom of invoices
• Cannot Allow returns on invoices
• Cannot view wholesale /profitability on invoices
• Cannot Allow overselling of items
Each of the Main Security features Master Security, Customer, Suppliers, Invoices, Payment, Inventory, Purchase Orders & Add Stocks, A/R Reports and Cash Drawer contain additional areas that you control user access to.
In addition to being able to set Security – SpeedyPOS™ also alerts you to ‘irregularities’ when you sign on.
Selecting the ‘Enable training mode’ mode will allow addition information to be displayed when she hovers over a button.
Beyond the Security issues that you will be able to avoid, setting limits on staff access will reduce errors and provide you with better control of your business.
In Martha’s case above – the two Invoice items ‘Access to invoice section’ and ‘Add invoices’ are all that she has permission to do. This means, that she can expect to encounter error messages - if she tries to do anything she does not been authorized to do.
